The Role
  
This role is split into three key components – wanting variety? Challenge? Projects? Business collaboration? But also, enough of a structure that you’re able to rely on! Can confirm, you’ll have all of that…
  
BAU Accounting Support
  • Month end performance reporting using project management system
  • Reconcile revenue and ownership of finalising monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliation, weekly management of cash flow forecast
  • Management of tax deadlines and returns (GST, PAYE etc)
  • Set and manage overhead expense budgets – you’ll know your way around P&Ls and work closely with the Finance Administrator (who owns the AR / AP components of this function)
  • Important to note this organisation also has an Australian office – while your exposure would be limited to start with, it’s another opportunity for growth!
Helping others
  • Being the go-to person for general finance enquiries – this will be a big part of your role. You’ll love being a key part of the business and be able to navigate a number of priorities at one point in time.
  • You’ll have patience and feel comfortable explaining what you need to non-finance stakeholders
  • Set up and training new staff in the finance software systems to ensure accuracy and to ensure everything you can to make month end a smooth process!
Reporting and Systems Projects
  • Analysis of financial, client and job data and compilation into spreadsheets and visual reports for use to advise management and partners to assist in making business decisions.
  • Ensuring accuracy of financial information, and that all statutory compliances are met.
  • This is a huge opportunity for growth here – you’ll be excited to build (or tweak) dashboards to show opportunities for improvement across the business.
About You
  • You’ll have 3+ years’ experience within a finance function – maybe studying towards your CA? Not a biggie if not, but you’ll be eager to learn and develop your career within a busy finance function.
  • You’ll love the opportunity to build relationships across the market – a natural relationship builder and wants to have a bit of fun in your role too!
